Learning how to Let Go (In Parenthood & Beyond)

(HeHe's article is published for Birch Baby  HERE  in its entirety.) When someone says something is bigger than you, a natural instinct is to be bigger than whatever is bigger than you, right? Wrong. That will only lead to a vicious and very unhealthy cycle. However, there are a few things you can do. I wish I could say, "take this magic pill and all your troubles will go away." (*cue my wanting to save the whole world complex*) I don't have a special pill, but I do have a few words of advice about what I've learned to do.  Remind Yourself. Constantly remind yourself of what you have learned and why this is bigger than you. Whether that look like, "They are not a good person and no matter how nice I am to them, they won't change," or "This person needs more help than I can provide them and they aren't open to speaking with anyone new," or maybe even a little self-preservation of "I just can't continue to support t...

Mindset is 90% of the game

Mindset is 90% of The Game  Have you ever done something and thought "I'm going to die. This is it. This is how my story ends and I meet my creator!" Well, I believe that ' impossible' is just an illusion and it's really about mindset and grit!   Recently, I went to Core Power Yoga for the first time ever recently and I thought I was going to meet Jesus himself. I try to show up as authentically as possible for our audience. I want everything I do to be a reflection of this hard work that you and I put in everyday. I want the world to know that it is a choice  to birth better and to take control of your experience . In doing this, I am so often trying to think of the takeaway points that I can share with our tribe to serve them deeper. This event started off great and fun. I was laughing and poking fun at my friend (my "birth partner" if you will) much like early labor. Then things started to really t...

6 Reasons for Miscarriage

6 Reasons You Might Experience Miscarriage I was recently asked my views on miscarriage and the fact that it is quite taboo. But, why? 1 in 4 women will experience a miscarriage at some point in their reproductive journey and 1 in 8 women will face challenges of some sort when trying to conceive. If it’s so common, why are we so afraid to talk about it? I have a few theories like death in general is usually an uncomfortable. Death of a child is really uncomfortable. Also, just because it’s common, doesn’t mean you won’t come across people who have never experienced it. For those people, it can be very uncomfortable because they may not know what to do or say to be supportive. Miscarriages happen and we need to talk about them. Here's why. I think this is the ultimate reason that people don’t venture into the discussion of miscarriage because they are uneducated on it. When asked, many adults can not tell you an actual reason for m...

17 Date Nights to Spice Things Up in the Bedroom

17 Date Nights to Spice Things Up in the Bedroom Things could be steamier in the bedroom, ay? Would you believe me if I told you that I get asked about sex  all. the. time.  From young women who are trying to break through their limiting beliefs about sex to women who are trying to relight the spark after having a baby and sometimes it's moms who are raising multiple kids, being a supportive partner, and haven't had sex in years.  *moment of silence for all the lost orgasms, take as long as you need, tissues are to the right* Sex is so important. From an emotional standpoint, to a biological standpoint, to a mental health standpoint, and a physical standpoint. SEX IS IMPORTANT. Even more important is raising sexually responsible and sex positive tiny humans, but that's another story for another day. If you are an adult and you aren't having sex, I want to know  why the f*ck not?!  "Not having anyone to have...
